Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate HSED (Health, Safety & Environmental Design) studies for LNG, FSRU, offshore, and international EPC projects
• Perform, coordinate, and technically review major HSED studies, including HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, SIMOPS, QRA, FERA, BRA, Fire & Gas Mapping, Vent Dispersion & Radiation, Noise Study, RAM, and ALARP
• Review Emergency Response Plans and Major Hazard & Risk Registers
• Review HSED study reports, technical findings, recommendations, and ensure timely closure of outstanding action items
• Lead technical discussions and manage international HSED consultants and subcontractors, including deliverables, schedules, and technical requirements
• Ensure compliance with international safety standards, project specifications, and contractual requirements
• Coordinate with clients, international subcontractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues
• Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, delays, and outstanding engineering issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in HSED, Technical Safety, or Process Safety Engineering
• Proven experience in performing, coordinating, or technically reviewing HSED studies, particularly HAZOP, SIL, QRA, and other relevant safety assessments
• Relevant experience in LNG, FSRU, offshore, or Oil & Gas EPC projects
• Demonstrated experience in managing international HSED consultants and subcontractors
• Strong knowledge of international safety standards and technical safety engineering practices
• Ability to independently review technical reports, challenge engineering findings, and resolve outstanding issues
• Strong technical leadership, assertive communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent English communication skills for managing international stakeholders and leading technical discussions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with internationally recognized safety consulting organizations

• Extensive experience managing HSED studies for LNG terminals, FSRUs, offshore facilities, or international EPC projects

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and international subcontractors

• Familiarity with IEC 61508, IEC 61511, ISO 31000, and other relevant international safety standards

• Experience leading technical meetings, resolving disputes, and managing HSED study deliverables across global projects

• Relevant professional certifications in Technical Safety, Process Safety, or related engineering disciplines
