Key Responsibilities

• Perform 3D modeling and production design for Steel Outfitting in shipbuilding, offshore, LNG, and plant projects
• Develop and maintain 3D models for steel outfitting components, including platforms, ladders, handrails, access structures, equipment foundations, supports, and miscellaneous steel structures
• Prepare and review 2D production, fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings based on 3D models
• Review design requirements, specifications, arrangement drawings, and related engineering documents and incorporate them into production design
• Perform clash checks and interference reviews and coordinate necessary design modifications
• Conduct access, operation, and maintenance reviews for equipment and facilities
• Coordinate Steel Outfitting interfaces with Hull Structure, Piping, E&I, Equipment, and other engineering disciplines
• Prepare and review MTO (Material Take-Off) and BOM (Bill of Materials)
• Support the preparation of work packages for fabrication, assembly, and installation
• Review design changes and ensure that revisions are accurately reflected in 3D models and production drawings
• Provide technical guidance and design support to junior designers and other project team members
• Coordinate with engineering, project, construction, fabrication, and site teams to resolve production design issues
• Perform other Steel Outfitting and production design-related duties as required

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, CAD/Design, or a related field
• Relevant professional experience in Steel Outfitting and/or Production Design within shipbuilding, offshore, plant, or EPC industries
• Strong experience in 3D modeling and production design
• Ability to independently prepare and review Steel Outfitting production drawings
• Experience designing platforms, ladders, handrails, equipment foundations, supports, and other steel outfitting components
• Ability to generate and review 2D production and fabrication drawings based on 3D models
• Experience performing clash/interference checks and resolving design issues
• Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, and related design documentation
• Experience preparing and reviewing MTO and BOM
• Strong understanding of fabrication, assembly, and installation requirements
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple engineering disciplines and project stakeholders
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Steel Outfitting production design for shipbuilding, offshore, LNG, or EPC projects
• Experience in detailed and production design for LNG carriers, FSRUs, LNG terminals, offshore facilities, or similar projects
• Understanding of Classification Society Rules and applicable international standards
• Experience with FORAN, AM, Tribon, AVEVA E3D / PDMS, Smart 3D, or other relevant 3D engineering design software
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience reviewing and coordinating multidisciplinary 3D models
• Experience preparing fabrication, assembly, and installation work packages
• Experience providing technical guidance or mentoring to junior designers
• Possession of relevant CAD, design, or engineering certifications
• English communication skills
