About the Role
GasEntec is looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to support our continued growth and strengthen our HR governance and employee relations practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional advice on Korean labor laws and employee relations matters to HR and business leaders.
- Identify potential labor compliance risks and lead preventive and corrective actions.
- Review and improve HR policies, employment rules, contracts, disciplinary procedures, and other internal guidelines.
- Manage complex employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary matters, workplace investigations, performance issues, and employment separations.
- Support the company in responding to labor inspections, employee disputes, and proceedings involving relevant government authorities.
- Advise management on organizational changes, workforce restructuring, transfers, compensation-related matters, and other employment decisions.
- Establish consistent and legally compliant procedures for handling employee relations matters across the organization.
- Support the operation of the Labor-Management Council and other legally required employee representation mechanisms.
- Monitor changes in labor laws, regulations, and court decisions and assess their potential impact on the company.
- Conduct labor compliance reviews and provide training to managers and employees on relevant employment practices.
- Coordinate with external labor attorneys, legal counsel, and government authorities when necessary.
- Prepare reports, policies, and presentations in both Korean and English for local and global stakeholders.
- Partner with other HR functions to develop sustainable people practices that support the company’s business strategy.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Labor Attorney qualification(노무사) in Korea is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in an in-house HR/ER role or a labor law firm.
- Strong knowledge of Korean labor and employment laws and experience applying them to actual workplace situations.
- Hands-on experience managing employee relations cases, labor compliance reviews, disciplinary procedures, and workplace investigations.
- Ability to translate legal requirements into practical and business-oriented solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Korean.
- Business-level English proficiency is required, as the role involves regular communication, reporting, and collaboration with global executives and overseas stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a multinational company or an organization with global operations.
- Experience in the engineering, EPC, shipbuilding, energy, manufacturing, or construction industry.
- Experience advising senior management on complex employee relations and workforce matters.
- Experience developing or improving HR policies and employee relations frameworks during periods of rapid organizational growth.
- Ability to prepare and present employment-related recommendations to stakeholders in English.
- Experience collaborating with overseas executives, external counsel, and regional HR teams.
